Unreal engine progress map
Ignite your childs imagination with our unreal engine progress map.
At Tubers Academy, we believe learning should be an adventure!
In a world where traditional education often fails to ignite imagination or cater to neurodiverse needs, we’ve chosen a different path – one where technology, creativity, and education collide. Game design isn’t just for entertainment anymore; it’s a gateway to learning real-world skills, building confidence, and unlocking talent in young people who’ve been overlooked by mainstream systems.
One of the most powerful tools helping us do this?
Unreal Engine.
Why Game Design is a Game Changer
Game development demands a broad set of skills: storytelling, logic, visual design, coding, problem-solving, collaboration, and critical thinking. For young people, especially those with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), game design becomes a vehicle to re-engage with learning in a way that feels relevant, motivating, and deeply rewarding.
CYBERCORE CITY
Cybercore City is Tubers Academy’s custom built, unreal engine game design course.
Each student follows a custom-printed progress map that visualizes their learning journey. These maps are paired with video tutorials and pre-built lessons, ensuring structured yet flexible learning.

The Power of Unreal Engine
Unreal Engine is more than just a tool – it’s an industry-standard platform used in top-tier games, films, architecture, and virtual production. Its real-time rendering, visual scripting with Blueprint, and expansive capabilities make it ideal for teaching young people high-level digital media skills.
But Unreal can also be overwhelming.
That’s why, at Tubers Academy, we’ve gone further than off-the-shelf tutorials. We’ve built our own in-house Unreal Engine curriculum, handcrafted by our creative and education teams to make learning both accessible and inspiring.
Custom-Built Worlds for Custom-Built Learning
Every level, character, animation, and interaction in our game design course has been designed by us, for our students. We didn’t just want to teach Unreal – we wanted to immerse students in it.
Each lesson is an adventure.
From navigating 3D environments and building assets from scratch, to understanding game mechanics and scripting logic, students aren’t just learning – they’re creating. They’re building their own worlds, and with them, their confidence and career-ready skill sets.
All of this is supported by our broader educational framework – tailored to the individual, gamified through our Progress Maps, and designed to track and support every step of a student’s journey.
Reimagining Education – One Level at a Time
At Tubers Academy, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all education. We believe in building platforms – digital and emotional – where every young person can thrive. With Unreal Engine, we’ve unlocked a new dimension in our mission to teach, inspire, and empower.
This isn’t just a course.
It’s a new way to learn.
the benefits of learning game design
Developing 21st-Century Skills
Unreal Engine teaches children skills that are highly relevant in the modern world. From coding and problem-solving to storytelling and design, these skills lay a foundation for careers in technology, media, and beyond. Early exposure to such tools fosters technical literacy and encourages a growth mindset—an invaluable trait for lifelong learning.
Encouraging Creativity
Unreal Engine transforms children from passive consumers of technology into active creators. They can build their dream worlds, design characters, and script interactive stories, empowering them to express their creativity in ways traditional methods simply cannot achieve.
Catering to Additional Needs
At Tubers Academy, our tailored approach ensures that children with additional needs, such as autism or PDA, can thrive in a supportive and stimulating environment. Tools like Unreal Engine can provide structure and focus while offering opportunities for self-expression and achievement that traditional educational approaches may overlook.
Preparing for Future Careers
The gaming and virtual reality industries are booming, with Unreal Engine at the forefront. By learning to use such a powerful tool, children gain a head start in industries poised to grow exponentially over the next decade.
how we teach unreal engine
- Interactive Learning: We incorporate fun, hands-on projects that allow children to create games or virtual environments from day one. This builds confidence and maintains enthusiasm.
- Progressive Levels: With a curriculum that spans three levels of difficulty, we ensure that children of varying ages and cognitive abilities can develop their skills at their own pace. Younger students might start with simple 3D designs, while older ones can delve into scripting and game mechanics.
- Social and Emotional Support: Our team provides 1:1 child-centered learning tailored to each student’s needs, creating a safe and nurturing environment where they feel empowered to take on new challenges.
- Industry-Standard Equipment: All Tubers Academy centers are equipped with high-spec Apple Macs, PCs, and virtual reality tools, ensuring children have access to professional-grade technology that enhances their learning experience.
Real-World Applications
Students who learn Unreal Engine at a young age often surprise their families and educators with the breadth of their accomplishments. From designing virtual museums to creating games that reflect their unique interests, these projects serve as both a portfolio and a testament to their ingenuity. Additionally, skills learned in Unreal Engine overlap with other areas, such as video production, animation, and game development—fields we also teach at Tubers Academy.
sample lesson
To get a feel of our course structure and style, here’s one of the lessons from Cybercore City. Students will be helping “Pixel Paws’ navigate the city, overcoming series of challenges along the way!
In this lesson, students will learn how to build elimination zones, which is an essential skill when building platform games.
building the future together
By teaching Unreal Engine to primary school children, we’re not just giving them a head start in technology—we’re equipping them with tools to thrive in a world driven by digital innovation. These young creators are tomorrow’s game developers, animators, and storytellers, and it’s our privilege at Tubers Academy to help them begin their journey.
Let’s unlock the potential of young minds and create a brighter digital future for all!
