SEND afterschool club that combines digital creativity with personalised learning support. Midpoint sessions offer a structured learning environment for students who require
additional support but may not need an alternative provision placement.
what are midpoint sessions?
This SEND afterschool club is aimed at students with mild SEND needs that are able to attend school, are comfortable taking instruction, partaking in group activities and working independently.
Midpoint sessions are available for 7-17 year olds and are a fantastic setting for students to have fun, engage their creativity and make new friends.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: It is important on these sessions that children DO NOT REQUIRE 1:1 SUPPORT
what do we do on midpoint sessions?
Working in small groups (max 1:4) with our SEND mentors, your child will learn a variety of digital media skills, including, but not exclusively
- Video production and editing
- Digital art and animation
- Game design
- Music production
Young people can also engage in side-by-side gaming on Xbox & Nintendo Switch consoles, eSports PC set-ups, or enjoy virtual reality experiences when they need space from their surroundings.
Our Digital Media Curriculums
At Tubers, we’ve developed our own unique training materials and curriculum specifically designed for neurodivergent learners. Students develop valuable skills through hands-on experience with professional software and equipment
Video Editing
Learn professional video editing with Final Cut Pro and professional production studios and equipment.
Digital Art
Master this iPad based digital art software used by artists to create designs, illustrations and animations.
Game Design
Learn to use the worlds most popular and advanced game development software to build your own game levels!
Music Production
Learn to create and produce your own music through GarageBand, using iPad and professional audio equipment.
MIDPOINT SEND AFTERSCHOOL CLUB SUPPORTS SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL WELLBEING
- Social Integration: Connection with peers and mentors to support social confidence, relationship development and increased communication skills.
- Skill Development: Development of digital and creative skills not typically available in most afterschool programmes.
